Made in England

The video above shows an intricate film set that was built from the ground up. It took months of organisation and four weeks for the actual build. It was built solely by Johnny Kinch during lockdown in preparation for a one day shoot that took place in March 2021. The attention to detail I think you'll agree is astonishing and has been mistaken for the real thing, well I guess that's the idea! Everything you can see in shot was either hand made or assembled by Johnny. The room used to be a former tattoo parlour and had to be stripped out and re-painted. It was originally bright red and black so took 8 coats of white paint before 5 coats of the clinical green was applied to achieve the desired look.

The day after the shoot, Johnny had the unenviable task of dismantling the 'lethal injection chamber' and all the work he had done. The same room was used to create the prison cell set, as seen above. This took another ten days to complete. A false wall with a cell window was built and many more coats of paint were applied to create a believable and authentic look. Not seen in this 'behind the scenes' picture is a steel sink and sanitation area which will be revealed in the film. The film is called LOT______ and you can find more about it HERE.
